Burberry and Vivienne Westwood's highly-anticipated collaboration, which honours British style and heritage, is finally available to buy.

Two of Britain's most beloved brands have designed a limited-edition collection that combines Vivienne Westwood's unisex approach with Burberry's vintage check.

The collection boasts must-have pieces from classic double-breasted jackets and a mini kilt to lace up platforms and a beret.

In celebration of its release, they've released the fashion campaign for their collaboration, which was shot in London by photographer David Sims - see the full set of images in the gallery at the bottom of the article.

Westwood and Tisci shared the vision to support and promote Cool Earth, a UK based non-profit organisation that works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation and climate change, through this collaboration.

An oversized T-shirt with a handwritten message from Westwood herself is dedicated to the charity, as well as four exclusive items from the collection that she will also customise to be auctioned to raise money for Cool Earth.

Riccardo Tisci, Burberry's new chief creative officer, first revealed the news that he was planning to work alongside one of his design inspirations in a post shared to Instagram in July. The designer shared a black-and-white image of himself with Westwood and her husband and design partner, Andreas Kronthaler, writing: "Vivienne was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer."

Tisci previously held the position of creative director at Givenchy for 12 years, before departing the French fashion house to succeed Christopher Bailey as chief creative officer at Burberry in March.

"When I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something," said Tisci of his collaboration with Westwood. "She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”

Westwood is famous for her environmental activism, and this collaboration will be in support of Cool Earth, a rainforest charity that works alongside communities against deforestation and its impact on climate change.

It marks the first collaboration for Burberry under Tisci, who unveiled his debut collection for the house in September.
