Fenty Parfum Solid Fragrance

Maybe you already own a bottle or two of Fenty Eau de Parfum, the first fragrance by Rihanna, released back in August 2021. Or maybe you picked up a jar of the decadent and rich scented body cream. Well, now there’s a new way to wear the wildly popular floral-amber scent: Fenty Parfum Solid Fragrance is dropping on September 12.

This new compact balm is alcohol-free and perfect for travel. Toss it in your handbag to touch up the scent throughout the day, or simply use it instead of the regular perfume for a more precise application. Solid perfumes should be rubbed onto your pulse points, like behind your ears and on your wrists—but feel free to get more creative than that. You can’t mess it up.

There’s even an element of surprise built right into the packaging. The cap, engraved with the Fenty logo, holds a discreet ball-in-maze game that will surely keep you (or in my case, my wild toddler) wholly entertained.

Rihanna is not playing when it comes to her perfume, but there is a maze game built right into the cap of her new solid fragrance balm.

The scent has not changed in its solid form, though I do find it to be more concentrated than the liquid. Fenty Eau de Parfum was created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, and it is unique in that it’s comprised of notes traditionally found in the heart of a fragrance. It’s an amber floral—warm and inviting, not shy in the slightest—with notes of magnolia, musk, tangerine, and Bulgarian rose. Rihanna herself described it as “very vibrant and very spicy and … something you’ll never forget,” to Elle UK.

Fenty Parfum Solid Fragrance will be available at fentybeauty.com and sephora.com starting September 12, and in select Sephora stores beginning in early October.
