Dakota Fanning and her classic style have arrived at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Looking lovely in a strapless champagne-colored gown dotted with white pearls, the actor walked the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles for the ceremony. The dress, from Armani Privé’s Fall/Winter 2024 couture collection, featured ruched detailing at the bust.
Fanning wore it with dangly earrings and a large pearl ring. She kept her makeup rosy and natural and wore her blonde hair straight down.
This year’s award show celebrates the best of television that aired between June 2023 and May 2024. Fanning is nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category for her role as Marge Sherwood in Netflix’s Ripley. The show tells the story of a con man who assumes the identity of a wealthy American expat; it is based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 novel The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Fanning has been on an elegant style streak this summer while promoting her show. Just yesterday, she attended the 76th Emmys Performer Nominee Celebration in a timeless little black dress. It was a sleek velvet mini with a boatneck and no sleeves, which she paired with matching satin platform heels.
The LBD is a classic choice for Fanning. Her younger sister, Elle Fanning, recently spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about the siblings’ differing styles. “I think Dakota’s very classic. I’m classic too, but with a twist,” she said. “She’s a little bit more laid-back. There have been times when she’s looked at me and she’s like, ‘Okay, you're going to wear that?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ And I think she loves me for that, but I kind of make a bolder choice, whereas she just wants to look beautiful and clean and chic.”
