Ariana Grande unapologetically flexes her riches in her hit "7 Rings," an ode to her money and her best friends. With lines like, "Whoever said money can't solve your problems / Must not have had enough money to solve 'em," it's clear Grande has some serious money in the bank.
While the singer's exact net worth isn't public info, these estimates are as close as we can get to knowing how much cash Ari is really rolling in. By the looks of the numbers, it's a lot. Many outlets including Business Insider cite the website Celebrity Net Worth, which says Grande is worth an estimated $50 million.
Here are some of her most lucrative ventures, by the numbers.
She made $8 million for headlining Coachella.
Variety reports that Grande raked in $8 million for her two-weekend headlining slot for Coachella 2019. People reports, citing The Blast, that Grande made $4 million for each weekend, just like Beyoncé did for her headlining shows in 2018.
Her Dangerous Woman tour grossed $71 million.
Grande's tour, which ended in September 2017, spanned seven months and five continents made over $71 million, Billboard reported in November that year. That was 70 percent more than her 2015 Honeymoon tour, which grossed $40 million.
In May 2017, months before the tour ended, Variety reported that Grande was making an average of almost $630,000 per night, with over $50,000 of that coming from merch.
Ariana's set for another world tour promoting her Sweetener album starting in March 2019. We can only imagine how much she'll rake in from hitting the road this time around.
Her fragrance franchise made $150 million over 2 years.
In 2017, LUXE Brands, the beauty company Grande partnered with for her perfume line, announced the singer had made $150 million in two years from the three fragrances they had released thus far: Moonlight, Sweet Like Candy, and Ari by Ariana Grande.
The singer's manager, Scooter Braun, attributed Ariana's "authentic connection with her fans" as one of the reasons for the perfumes' mega success. For example, in 2015, Grande sold $30,000 worth of fragrance sets in about an hour during a fan meet-and-greet at Macy's in New York's Herald Square with fans, WWD reports.
The singer just unveiled her fourth scent with LUXE, named Cloud, in the fall of 2018. It's estimated to rake in $50 million in the first year, according to WWD.
She made $9,000 per episode during her first season of Victorious.
Grande's breakout role was playing Cat on the series Victorious, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2010 to 2013. Even in the singer and actress' first season on the show, she was making bank. A copy of her contract, obtained by TMZ in 2014, shows that she made $9,000 per episode.
She also got paid extra for writing original songs for the show, including $4,000 for a theme song, $3,000 for tracks played in various episodes, and $1,500 for a 20-second track, the outlet reported.
She's sold over a million albums worldwide.
Last April, Billboard reported via Nielsen data that Grande had sold about 1,771,000 albums in the U.S. up until then: My Everything (735,000 copies), Yours Truly (596,000), Dangerous Woman (396,000), and Christmas & ChillEP (44,000).
That was all before she dropped her latest record, Sweetener. The number-one album sold the equivalent of 230,000 copies around the first week of release, The New York Times reported, citing Nielsen as well.
Some of her singles boast millions of sales, with the top sellers including "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea (3.7 million), "Bang Bang" feat. Jessie J and Nicki Minaj (3.4 million), and "The Way" feat. Mac Miller (2.4 million), per Billboard. MTV UK suggested in June that the singer had earned $29.5 million in single downloads alone.
She also has endorsement deals under her belt.
As if the touring, music, and perfumes weren't enough, Grande also earned income from a year-long contract with Reebok, which was first announced in September 2017. In 2016, she was the face of British brand Lipsy and launched a capsule collection, with pieces ranging from $9 to $96 each, per Nylon.
