Prince Harry Meghan Markle Outfit Invictus Games Training Colombia

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan championed an event very close to their hearts today: the Duke of Sussex’s Invictus Games.

The couple arrived for a training session with Invictus Games Team Colombia on Friday afternoon at the Centro de Rehabilitación Inclusiva in Bogotá, where they were warmly greeted by several military officials and a military band. While there, they toured the facility, including the swimming pool, rock-climbing wall gym, and rehabilitation facilities. They also met with the Team Colombia athletes during a sitting volleyball match and get to see the center’s transportation simulation room.

The duchess brought out her best sporty-preppy look for the daytime engagement. It was composed of a crisp white Giuliva Heritage button-up tucked into a cream maxi skirt covered in a black circle print. Meghan finished the chic look with brown Jimmy Choo sandals and dangly gold earrings by Ecksand.

Harry kept it casual in a black Vince polo, gray Banana Republic jeans, and gray Vince slide-on sneakers.

“It’s amazing to see how many people can come together to form one team,” the duke said to an Invictus team member while touring the center’s cardiovascular room.

The duchess was also impressed with seeing all of the athletes in action. “They are all so incredible to watch,” she said.

Harry and Meghan also got to tour the center’s art hall, which featured artwork created by Invictus athletes. Meghan was gifted a painting, hand knitted animals, and also a beaded necklace and matching earrings from some of the artists.

The Sussexes, along with Colombian vice president Francia Márquez and her partner, Rafael Yerney Pinillo, also sat in on a sitting volleyball match. Pinillo and the duke eventually participated in the game, while the VP and the duchess cheered from the sidelines. Following the match, Harry made sure to greet a group of Korean War veterans, who were ecstatic to see him.

The prince was later awarded a special commemorative plaque from the country’s Ministry of National Defense veterans. “To Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex,” read an athlete while presenting the gift to Harry. “In recognition and gratitude for your dedication and invaluable opportunities for recovery through sports and the Invictus Games for Colombian wounded, injured, and sick armed forces and police personnel, serving or veterans.”

The active afternoon activity came after Meghan and Harry spent the morning visiting Colegio La Giralda, a school in Bogotá, where they stopped by an art class, played with kindergarteners, helped plant trees in the institution’s backyard, visited the school’s social-emotional gym, and participated in different stations with student managers.
