Dua Lipa Performance Video Grammys 2024

Dua Lipa opened the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday night with a bang.

The pop star was the first performer for the evening ceremony, gracing the stage via a metal scaffold construction for a performance of her new songs “Training Season” and “Houdini”—the first singles from her upcoming, yet-to-be-titled third studio album. Lipa commanded the audience at Crypto.com Arena with a massive crew of dancers, wearing a strappy leather-and-mesh number with knee-high platform boots for the high-energy performance. The singer is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Song for Visual Media, for her Barbie hit “Dance the Night” at this year’s Grammys.

Lipa’s cameo on the Grammys red carpet earlier this evening was just as memorable. The “Levitating” singer stepped out in a silver fringed number courtesy of Courrèges, complete with a sexy plunging neckline and peekaboo hip cutouts. She paired the standout look with jewelry courtesy of Tiffany & Co. and subtly flushed glam.

According to the star, her upcoming album is heavily inspired by British rave culture and will be a sonic departure from the disco pop of her last album, 2020’s Future Nostalgia.

“This record feels a bit more raw,” Lipa recently told Rolling Stone. “I want to capture the essence of youth and freedom and having fun and just letting things happen, whether it’s good or bad. You can’t change it. You just have to roll with the punches of whatever's happening in your life.”
