As she exited the Santa Monica restaurant and made the sidewalk her personal runway, the star put her own twist on a seasonal classic. Dressed in a gray, loose-knit sweaterdress from Acne Studios, Rihanna chose not to cocoon herself in the comfy hooded ensemble, instead unzipping the garment’s two-way asymmetrical zipper for a sexier interpretation. Her alteration created a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit, allowing her to showcase a pair of pointed black leather boots.
Elsewhere, Rihanna continued to play with proportions. She leaned into her oversize look with matching accessories, opting to carry a slouchy Bottega Veneta clutch under her arm. The burgundy bag complemented her coordinating lipstick, and she rounded out her glam with an enormous black pair of square Saint Laurent sunglasses.
The Fenty Beauty mogul then traded out her usual bling for a more minimal approach, wearing a large gold pendant from Marie Lichtenberg. She did incorporate some diamonds into her look, however, with a pair of large stud earrings.
Between her thigh-high boots and Intrecciato woven Bottega bag, Rihanna proves how careful accessorizing can elevate even the simplest of outfits. A frumpy sweaterdress instantly becomes chic with the right details, and her ensemble shows that the littlest accents leave the biggest impact. That said, it’s always easier to pull off a questionable silhouette when you’re Rihanna.
