Last night, Kim Kardashian returned to the red carpet when she attended Daily Front Row's Annual Fashion Awards in Los Angeles. The appearance marked one of her first times back on the carpet since taking a bit of a hiatus after her robbery, but she did not do so subtly. The reality star opted for a Givenchy couture gown—from the 2011 collection under Riccardo Tisci's tenure—with a completely sheer skirt.
Clusters of pearls decorated the neckline, bodice and sleeves of the dress, while single embellishments covered the barely-there bottom. Her newly cut lob was a sleek match for the elaborate look.
Kardashian is a known fan of the naked dress trend, but that's not why the gown looks familiar—it actually has some noticeable similarities to her wedding dress. She also wore a Riccardo Tisci design when she tied the knot with Kanye West in 2014. Like last night's Givenchy piece, there were sheer panels on the sleeves and a V-like torso, but the skirt was opaque lace.
The best part about her look? It could glow in the dark. When she posed in a dimly lit restaurant that evening, some of the adornments on her dress seemed to light up (or at least they were highly reflective). She showed it off for photographer Mert Alas.
If this is just part of the beginning of Kim's red carpet resurgence, and we can't wait to see what's next.
