Naomi Campbell knows that the Met Gala red carpet is no place to feel sticky or hot, which is why she brought a human wind machine to ensure that she felt her best. An anonymous man, dressed in all black, was pictured fanning the the supermodel as she posed for pictures.
Campbell wore a lilac Valentino Couture gown and a feather cape to the Met Gala on Monday evening, which celebrated camp style. She was accompanied by the brand's creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.
Social media users were full of praise for her aptly diva-like (given the night's theme) decision to employ someone specifically to fan her.
Campbell was not only the only supermodel to attend the Met Gala - her contemporary, Kate Moss, made sure that she was there for the event, as did Amber Valetta, who wore a green feather dress coat by YSL.
The high-profile event has largely been described as the best red carpet to date, with guests warmly embracing the camp theme. One of most spectacular outfits came from Lady Gaga, who performed a strip tease, unveiling four outfits in the process which finally gave way to sparkling lingerie festooned in 7,200 Swarovski crystals.
