Jacob Elordi’s portrayal of Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s film Priscilla (not to mention his performance as Felix in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn) rightfully earned him superstardom in 2023—and with that fame has come newfound interest in his personal life.
Elordi first emerged in the public spotlight as the leading man of Netflix’s The Kissing Booth film series, in which he starred opposite eventual girlfriend Joey King. He later joined the cast of HBO’s Euphoria, and reportedly engaged in a brief romance with costar Zendaya. Since then, the actor has been romantically linked to model Kaia Gerber and influencer Olivia Jade Giannulli.
Ahead, we break down everything to know about Elordi’s complete dating history.
Olivia Jade Giannulli (December 2021–present)
Rumors that Elordi was involved romantically with the YouTuber started in December 2021, shortly after news outlets reported his split from Gerber. He and Giannulli reportedly broke up in August 2022, but had reunited by the next month.
They embarked on romantic holiday trips together to Italy and Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the latter trip with Giannulli’s parents: Fuller House actor Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli.
“They are 100 percent going strong,” a source told People of Elordi and Giannulli in July 2023.
In January 2024, breakup rumors about the couple swarmed once again, following a report from Us Weekly. Entertainment Tonight debunked those claims, though, noting that the two are actually in New York City together as Elordi prepares to host Saturday Night Live this weekend on January 20 (with musical guest Reneé Rapp).
Kaia Gerber (September 2020–November 2021)
Elordi and Gerber were first publicly spotted together in September 2020. The two embarked on multiple PDA-filled dates in New York City, before going Instagram official by posting a photo of their (quite prescient) couple’s costume for Halloween: Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
At the time, a source told People that Elordi had gained the approval of the model’s famous parents, supermodel Cindy Crawford and entrepreneur Rande Gerber.
“Jacob is very sweet to Kaia. They are always very loving and cute together,” the insider told the outlet. “It’s obvious that Cindy and Rande approve of Jacob too. They spend a lot of time together.”
The two had split by November 2021, with a Page Six insider describing the breakup as “amicable.”
Zendaya (August 2019–early 2020)
Elordi’s first major role after The Kissing Booth was Nate Jacobs on Sam Levinson’s HBO series Euphoria. During this period, dating rumors began brewing about him and costar Zendaya, who plays Rue.
Public speculation over the couple’s relationship started after paparazzi captured photos of the two of them enjoying a vacation to Greece together in 2019. Elordi denied the rumors while speaking to GQ Australia, describing Zendaya as “like my sister.” He went on to rave about her work ethic and personality, adding that she “is an amazing creative, you know? She’s super dope to work with. She’s an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us.”
Over the next year, paparazzi continued to snap photos of the two on PDA-filled dates in New York City. But when the world went into lockdown after the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020, the couple reportedly quarantined in separate corners of the globe, with Elordi in his home country of Australia and Zendaya in Los Angeles. The relationship ultimately fizzled out.
Still, they seem to have remained on friendly terms. Elordi posted a sweet tribute to Zendaya following her first-ever Emmy win in September 2020, writing on Instagram: “Congratulations captain. Bravo.”
Joey King (April 2017–November 2018)
Elordi first rose to fame thanks to his portrayal of Noah in Netflix’s 2018 teen rom-com The Kissing Booth. On set for the movie, he found real-life romance with his onscreen love interest, Joey King, who played protagonist Elle. The two dated for a year, much to the delight of Kissing Booth fans, before quietly splitting in 2018 shortly after the first movie’s release.
King, who is now married to director Steven Piet, discussed the difficulty of going through a public breakup in a 2019 interview with Refinery29. “All you can really do at that point is shut your phone off and crawl into your sister's bed and watch Friends with her, because when you’re going through something and the world wants to go through it with you or [wants] to get every piece of detail from you about it, it’s really difficult. Some of these things are just meant for you,” she said. “They can’t understand; they can’t grasp, that reality could be completely different and completely not the same as what you see. So I think that the reason why it was really difficult for them to let up on it is because they just have a fantasy idea of someone else’s life, when it’s not like that at all.”
